This panoramic view is part of a series I did for DeviantArt's Capturing Change, a collaborative project in association with SONY that took me and three other photographers on an assignment to document the changes of our cities and cultures.

I focused a lot of attention on the theme of Nature vs. City, seeking out views of cityscape in direct contrast with natural elements.

A panoramic view of the Camboriú beach and its permanent residents. Everything seems so calm from out here. But in there, at this time of day, the Human residents are filling up the streets and getting ready for another long, endless night of partying. That's what this city means to most people who are there.

THE SHOOT
I love doing panoramas and this location was perfect for one. Plus, the theme Nature vs City was right in from of me. I wanted to capture the dusk and dawn from this point, from which the city seems to go on forever. So, I captured five vertical shots, at dusk, and went against all rules by shooting handheld. I was so keen on the stabilization features of the a7RII that I just kept challenging the camera (and myself). The results are pretty amazing.
