From first glance I am filled with the grandiose sense of loss in this piece. Every time I look at the title, my mind reads Breakdown rather than Breakdawn. I am sure that the play on words was intentional, maybe not... but it certainly affects the way I dwell within the space. The environment is vast, the frame is filled with a stillness. Nothing is competing for my attention as I get lost in the soft edges of what resembles pastels. The static grainy textures feel rough as I look on... The earth, dark and rich, solid, rises out of the depths but does not reach for the sky. No, it floats on top of a gentle sea. And the tower in the distance sits almost unnoticed. Keeping it's watch... The colors are vibrant enough to be noticed, but act much as an afterthought rather than the main focus. The deep rusty red dissipates like a gas spreading to fill the frame, yet it never really makes it. There is a level of ambiguity that resides here. And as much as I want to critique the specifics... I just cannot bring myself to do so. This is just a piece to chew on, and revel in.
It really is a haunting image.
I have been connecting with this piece since day one of this feedback contest, and the more I look at it the more it makes me just want to sit and look, rather than write...
Bravo on making me speechless...

Also, this is a kind of photo/graphic work I wish to pursue further, so I'm really proud that you enjoyed and found so much depth in it.
As I now went back to read your review again, I noticed I didn't thank you. Sorry for that and thank you very much for this great insight. It's very rewarding.
Sem dúvida uma inspiração.
