The old shoemaker.


I sat there, next to him, many times. I watched him work and I watched him aging. Last time I saw him in is workshop he was tired, a widower and, although never alone, he became a very lonely man.

He was a shoemaker, a great friend and a personal hero. He was my grandfather. Never forgotten. ♥

Captured on 35mm ISO 1200 film with Canon EOS 500. By Nuno Sousa.
